The actress, once a cover girl for Vogue magazine, now lives at Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel, who was married with Richard Harris for eight years before she divorced him 20 years ago she is still struggling to reconcile the death of Richard Harris. She was born in the Jewish middle-class family and raised in Manhattan, Turkel had, by age 16, studied with both Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Her grandmother is credited with inspiring her creativity. Ann was a student of dance, acting as well as voice during her early years. Ann, who was then 16 years old studied at both at the Neighborhood Playhouse (formerly the Musical Theatre Academy) and at the Musical Theatre Academy under some top acting instructors in the city. They include Sandy Meisner & Philip Burton. Ann together with a few students from her high school created a school-based rock and roll group. Ann was discovered at the Vogue Magazine fashion show by Gloria Schiff, an editor. In just a couple of weeks and a half, the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot her first Vogue Cover with photographer Richard Avedon. Then Ann became one of the sought after models in America, landing on the cover of some of the most prestigious fashion magazines, including Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan among several other magazines. Ann began her international career in Europe and Japan after modeling on behalf of Max Factor Revlon.
